To qualify for HPO expedited review, applicants are required to submit adequate documentation to show that the proposed work is compatible with the character of the affected historic landmark or historic district.

Required Submission Materials

The following materials are required for expedited review:

• A completed DC building permit application

• Exterior photographs of the building in question

• Photographs of adjacent buildings or the immediate neighborhood, when the surrounding context is important

• Architectural drawings or other supporting materials sufficient to show the extent and design of the proposed work
