HISTORIC LANDMARK AND HISTORIC DISTRICT NOMINATIONS

Old Engine Company 12, 1626 North Capitol Street, NW, Case #02-04.
Nomination approved. Nomination will be forwarded to the National Register. Vote 10-0.

Ulysses S. Grant School (School Without Walls), 2130 G Street, NW, Case #01-01.
Nomination approved. Nomination will be forwarded to the National Register. Vote 10-0.

TAKOMA PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT

7112 Chestnut Street, NW, HPA #06-078, concept/new construction.
Approved staff report recommending revisions to the project. Vote 11-0.  

HISTORIC LANDMARK

First African New Church, 2101 10th Street, NW, HPA #06-240, concept/new construction.
Approved staff report recommending denial of the concept project as “being inconsistent with the purposes of the D.C. Historic Preservation Act.”   Vote 11-0.

DUPONT CIRCLE HISTORIC DISTRICT

1225 19th Street, NW, HPA #06-195, concept/addition in public space.
Project denied as “being inconsistent with the purposes of the D.C. Historic Preservation Act.”  Vote 11-0.

2200 P Street, NW, HPA #06-245, concept/signage.
Project approved with modifications. Vote  8-3.

U STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT

1442 U Street, NW, HPA #06-xxx, concept/signage.
Project approved with modifications. Vote 7-4.

INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATION

SECTION 106 REVIEW/MASTER PLAN REVIEW

Southeast Federal Center/Washington Navy Yard Annex.
Presentation made as informational only with recommendations for HPRB review of the Revised Master Plan and Design Guidelines.  No vote was taken.

Project approved with revisions. Final approval of the project delegated to staff and two representative HRPB members.  No formal vote taken.

Project denied. Vote 11-0.

CAPITOL HILL HISTORIC DISTRICT

633 E Street, NE, HPA #06-279, alteration
Approved staff recommendations and continued case for revisions of design of basement entrance. Vote 10-0.
