Valecia Wilson, Valecia Wilson, Assoc. AIA, Senior Neighborhood Planner, joined the DC Office of Planning in 2017, and currently the lead planner for place-based and implementation efforts in Wards 7 and 8. Previously, she supported planning efforts in Wards 2, 3, 4, and 6. Valecia joined OP from the Maryland-National Capital Planning Commission where she worked for three years as a community planner for the Prince George’s County Planning Department. Valecia has contributed to neighborhood-level planning for several mid-Atlantic communities, with a focus on urban design, neighborhood preservation, and resilience. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from Hampton University and a Master of Community Planning degree from Auburn University.
