(Washington, DC) The National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC), the Government of the District of Columbia and the National Park Service have partnered to create CapitalSpace, a park system for the Nation's capital. NCPC released the CapitalSpace draft plan on October 1, 2009 and the 60-day public comment period is now open.
The public is invited to a community meeting to learn about the CapitalSpace draft plan, a joint initiative to improve and unify Washington's park system.

- Linking the Fort Circle Parks
- Improving Public Schoolyards
- Enhancing Urban Natural Areas
- Improving Playfields
- Enhancing Center City Parks
- Transforming Small Parks
