We are happy to have made it to our third monthly newsletter! And it has been quite a month.
The DC Council held its first reading of the Framework Element of the Comprehensive Plan, with a second reading likely in September. Given the movement at Council, OP is moving forward with its work to amend the remaining elements and maps of the Comp Plan. If Council enacts the Framework in September, we plan to share the rest of the proposed amendments for public review over the fall and winter.
We are also working hard to make progress on the Mayor's ambitious housing goals and to deliver on her Mayor’s Order. We have released our first housing survey to collect your feedback on the current and future distribution of affordable housing in the District. You can read more about the survey below. We will use this to inform proposed housing targets for planning areas across the District
