Free, Interactive Mapping Tool Provides Property-Related Information

Wednesday, July 8, 2009

(Washington, DC) The Office of Planning has developed DCPropertyQuest as a tool to access a wide range of property-related information from various DC government agencies in one easy-to-use place. Type in a Washington, DC address or site in the search box and DCPropertyQuest provides maps, photos, Ward, ANC, tax, zoning and historic district information about that location. Also, DCPropertyQuest links to Google's StreetView images, which show 360-degree views of nearly every street in the District.

As a web-based tool, DCPropertyQuest can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer at the web address http://propertyquest.dc.gov/

The Office of Planning developed DCPropertyQuest in conjunction with databases assembled and provided by other District agencies, including the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and the Office of Zoning. Information provided by DCPropertyQuest is for planning purposes only. Please consult the source agencies for definitive explanations. More detailed information on data used by DCPropertyQuest can be found by using its online help feature or by contacting the Office of Planning at (202) 442-7600.
