District Archaeologist Discusses Study of Rock Creek Park and Archaeological Resources in the District

(Washington, DC) - WAMU's The Kojo Nnamdi Show featured a program on the archaeology of Washington, DC on Wednesday, December 17. The program discussed the award-winning NPS archaeological survey of Rock Creek Park, featuring Dr. Stephen Potter, Regional Archaeologist for the NPS, and Dr. John Bedell of the Louis Berger Group, the archaeological firm that conducted the study. The project took four years to complete and won a DC Historic Preservation Award in November 2008. Dr. Ruth Trocolli, City Archaeologist for the District, participated to place the project into the larger context of the archaeological resources of DC.
