The draft Historic Context Statement for Washington’s LGBTQ Resources was prepared to document and broaden the historical narrative of the District’s LGBTQ communities. The report is organized around contextual themes and identifies significant DC citizens, places, and spaces associated with those themes. The final product will post on the website when review by the National Park Service is completed. This project was funded with the assistance of an Underrepresented Communities Grant from the U.S. Department of of Interior, National Park Service. This final draft is being made available to the public pending final review and approval by the Park Service.
