Patrick Williams, AIA

Patrick Williams serves as an Architect member of the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB). His professional career includes extensive experience working in New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as internationally, designing and managing a variety of project types in the educational, commercial, institutional, historic preservation, recreational, residential and hospitality markets.

Mr. Williams has been active in the local community as a volunteer on several initiatives related to architecture, planning and community preservation. Previously, he was Chairman of the Design Guidelines Committee for Adams Morgan Main Street from 2003 – 2006, assisting that commercial district in planning and documenting its goals and design priorities for façade improvements. As a Ward 4 resident, he served on an ANC3/4G Task Force from 2015 – 2018, created to perform a neighborhood outreach survey to activate interest and get feedback on needs and expectations for an improved Chevy Chase Community Center (CCCC). From 2014 – 2024, he served as an Architect Member on the District of Columbia Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture, the last four years of which he was the Vice Chairman.

He earned degrees in Architecture from the City University of New York, City College, and a Masters in Construction Management from the Catholic University of America. He has also completed Executive Education training in Integrated Project Management from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Term

Mr. Williams was appointed in April 2024. His current term ends July 21, 2025.
