Jordan Chafetz

Jordan Chafetz serves as OP’s Capital Facilities Planner, a role in which she supports the District planning and budgeting for civic infrastructure and facilities, promoting cross-agency collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and interdisciplinary approaches. In her role, she also manages and supports a variety of OP projects involving data analysis, visualization, strategy, and communications. As a former Capital City Fellow at OP, she developed a key report exploring the range of equity and affordability implications of changes to single-family zones to allow missing middle housing types.

Prior to joining OP, Jordan managed data analysis on several advocacy reports and provided technical assistance to clients across the US as a Research Analyst for Smart Growth America, focusing on land use, economic development, and transportation issues. During graduate school, Jordan supported development of HUD Choice Neighborhood Plans while working for an interdisciplinary planning and design firm. Prior to her transition to city planning, Jordan worked in telecommunications policy and federal relations.

Jordan holds a Master of City Planning degree as well as a Certificate in GIS & Spatial Analysis from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in History from the University of Virginia.
