Edward Giefer is the Associate Director for Operations for the DC Office of Planning, overseeing budget, financial management, procurement, performance planning, and office operations. He has served the District since 2001. He previously worked for the Public Buildings Service at the U.S. General Services Administration in Washington, DC. He has a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from George Mason University. He lives on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, with his wife and two children.
