HPRB February 25 and March 4, 2021
The Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) virtual meeting for February 2021 will take place on February 25 and March 4. Information regarding access and a list of cases that may be considered at this meeting will be posted under the "Get Documents for Upcoming Meeting" link below.
New HPRB Filings
We are currently accepting new HPRB filings electronically. Applicants should email plans and a completed concept application to [email protected]. The filing deadline for the February HPRB meeting was Friday, January 22. The filing deadline for the March meeting is Friday, February 19.
We will notify the applicants for cases emailed to us whether HPRB review will be required, and what steps they need to take to provide the required public notice. Historic preservation filing fees will be assessed upon receipt of the application but will be collected at a later date prior to the issuance of building permits.

HPRB issues a public notice of potential agenda items at least 15 days before the meeting. The notice is posted with the meeting documents at the link above.
Agenda and Staff Reports
HPRB releases an agenda, consent calendar, and staff reports at least five days before the meeting. These are posted upon release at the documents link above.
HPRB meetings are open to the public and anyone may participate. Written comments for consideration by HPRB may also be submitted before the meeting. Meetings are broadcast on live video over the Internet.

Temporary Procedural Changes
At its April 30 meeting, the Board voted to waive three procedural requirements under 10-C DCMR § 3207.3 for the duration of the declared COVID-19 public health emergency:
1. The requirement under 10-C DCMR § 323.1 to provide first class mail notice to all persons on the public mailing list;
2. The requirement under 10-C DCMR § 3100.3 to post the proposed meeting agenda in the Historic Preservation Office; and
3. The requirement under 10-C DCMR § 3100.4 to make copies of the agenda available at the Board’s meeting.
