The Office of Planning has a Capital Improvement and Facilities Team within its Citywide Planning Division that undertakes an array of activities to help make strategic decisions regarding the city’s investments in capital infrastructure.  The team serves as technical support for other divions within the Office of Planning and select executive agencies with District Government.  Primary activities include managing or assisting with Master Facilities Plans, conducting demographic and economic trends analyses, assessing and leveraging real estate assets to achieve District development goals and providing insight into the formulation of the District’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
