2016 District of Columbia Historic Preservation Plan

Learn a bit about local history and see how Washington's heritage is shaping the city's growth.  Enriching our Heritage, the new 2016 District of Columbia Historic Preservation Plan is a generously illustrated guide for anyone interested in knowing more about our community.

In timelines and graphics, the plan traces how Washington grew from modest beginnings into a dynamic multi-cultural city.

The 92-page plan is filled with information presented in an accessible display-size format.

Single copies are available free of charge by contacting the DC Historic Preservation Office at historic.preservation@dc.gov or (202) 442-8835.
