The Public Space Committee meets once a month and makes final determinations on applications for various uses of public space and areas within building restriction lines. As an agency represented by one member on the five-person Committee, the Office of Planning completes reports for each application as part of its review to assure the temporary and permanent uses of public space for public and private purposes are consistent with the plans, policies, and long-term goals of the District government.
