Josh Ghaffari joined the DC Office of Planning (OP) in 2008 and currently serves as Comprehensive Plan Program Manager in the Neighborhood Planning Division. Josh is responsible for leading the update process for the District’s Comprehensive Plan, which is DC’s 20-year framework that guides future growth and development. Previously, Josh worked in OP’s Citywide Planning Division and served as Facilities/Community Planner. Prior to joining OP, Josh worked for DC Public Schools (DCPS) and served as Facilities Planner/Architect. Josh holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Environmental Planning from Towson University. Josh is a Certified Public Manager (CPM), an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and a member of the American Planning Association (APA) as well as the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
