How To Apply 
 
Thank you for your interest in a position that is currently available within the government of the District of Columbia’s Office of Planning.  Please read the information below on how to apply and the District government’s webpage.

Please follow the instructions below to access the information you will need to apply:

  • Website:  www.dc.gov
  • Locate Popular Online Services and select the link for "Find a DC Government Job."
  • On the Employment Opportunities page, select the link for "Current DC Government Positions Available." 
  • On the Applicant Home Page, select "View Job Position/Apply for Job." (You can also select "Online Job Application" from the Employment Opportunities page and it will take you to the job position/apply for job)
  • Scroll down the Job Postings List until you find a position that interests you. Select the link for a position of interest (e.i. Community Planner, Staff Assistant).  This will bring you to the Job Description page.
  • On the job description page, please read the job information and focus on the following:
    • Closing Date (Submission deadline) 
    • Duties
    • Qualifications
    • Ranking Factors (answer all ranking factors)
    • How and Where to Apply (please read information below)

Candidates can apply online by selecting "Apply for This Job" in the vacancy announcement.  Candidates may also apply in person by completing a DC 2000 job application at the DC Office of Human Resources located at the Reeves Center: 2000 14th Street, NW; 4th Floor; Washington, DC 20009.  DC 2000 employment applications may also be mailed to the Reeves Center address by the closing date of the position.
