Mt. Pleasant Commercial Revitalization Strategy  The DC Office of Planning (OP) has published for public review and comment a Mt. Pleasant Commercial Revitalization Strategy Draft Plan.  The Draft Plan presents an analysis and corresponding recommendations on revitalization opportunities and community development issues within the Mt. Pleasant Street commercial district. OP is providing a 30-day public comment period on the draft plan. Information on how to submit comments is included in the Public Notice link below.  Comments must be received by 5 pm on June 18, 2010, to be considered. In addition to receiving written comments, OP will host a Mayoral hearing to receive oral testimony on the draft plan.  The Mayoral hearing will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Bancroft Elementary School, 1755 Newton Street NW, Washington, DC 20010 from 10 am-12 pm.  Witnesses are encouraged to register in advance of the hearing by contacting Tarek Bolden, Ward 1 Neighborhood Planning Coordinator at (202)442-7600.
