Annual Reports

The primary responsibilities of the District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office (HPO) are to ensure compliance with the Historic Landmark and Historic District Protection Act of 1978 and as part of the Office of Planning, to provide professional exptertise on matters affecting DC's historic buildings, sites, and districts.

One of the requirements of the law is to provide an annual report on behalf of the Mayor " to the Council of the District of Columbia "on the implementation of the D.C. Historic Landmark and Historic District Protection Act of 1978."  To read the most recently released report covering the fiscal year of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 select the link below.
