| Community Grants Program
Each year HPO provides limited matching grants for activities supporting the goals of the DC Preservation Plan. Eligible activities include survey and inventory, preservation planning, historic resource designation, public education and outreach, and resource pre-development planning.
The grants are made possible by an annual appropriation from the National Park Service. The next grant round will take place in the fall of 2008 will be available on August 1, 2008.
Eligible applicants for the grant awards include nonprofit organizations, individuals or groups working in partnership with nonprofits, institutions of higher learning, and District of Columbia government agencies.
