State Data Center Releases Indicators of Marriage and Fertility, 2000-2003
(Washington, DC) The Office of Planning State Data Center released Indicators of Marriage and Fertility, 2000-2003, the first in a series of monthly briefs. This brief presents four years of data, averaged from 2000-2003, on the indicators of marriage and fertility. The report highlights the following topics: median age at first marriage, percent of married couple households, and characteristics of women with a birth in the last year. The tables provide comparative statistics for the District of Columbia and the United States.
