How to Contact HPRB

The Historic Preservation Office (HPO) manages the distribution of all correspondence to Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) members. Letters and other materials may be submitted by email to [email protected], by fax to (202) 442-7638, or by regular mail or hand delivery to the HPO office at the address below.

Mailing Address

Chair
Historic Preservation Review Board
1100 4th Street, SW, Suite E650
Washington, DC 20024

How to Submit Comments on a Case

Comments on a case pending before HPRB and materials intended for distribution to individual Board members should be addressed to the Chair. HPRB members prefer to receive advance copies of written comments and documents submitted for their monthly meeting, especially if the material is long or detailed.

Materials intended for advance distribution to HPRB members must be received 24 hours ahead of the HPRB meeting.

Can the public contact HPRB members about a case?

Applicants and members of the public should not contact HPRB members directly about cases pending before the Board. HPRB members are subject to District government ethical standards, and must recuse themselves from the proceedings on any case for which they have a real or apparent conflict of interest. HPO does not release direct contact information for HPRB members.

For inquiries, please contact HPO staff at (202) 442-7600, or send an email to [email protected]
