E. L. Haynes PCS is expanding to include pre-school through 2nd grade and grades 9th -12th at the former Clarke Elementary school, including a new gym and classrooms, land design for outdoor field activities, new lighting and parking. Located in Ward 4 in the Petworth neighborhood, encompassing almost an entire City square with employment opportunities for District residents and incorporating sustainable features. The project is consistent with the Office of Planning Comp Plan criteria.
