Barry Farm Park Chester Wade Road Redevelopment Plan

Consistent with the New Communities Initiative, the goal of this effort is to transform the public and low income housing developments and its neighborhood into a mixed-income, mixed-use community. In this new community, residents will have access to high quality housing options affordable at all income levels and to the human services necessary to help prepare them to take advantage of the new economic opportunities and changes that are coming their way. The Council of the District of Columbia approved this plan on December 19, 2006 through resolution R16-0922.

Archival information on the public engagement process, hearing transcript, and public comment responses can be requested through the project manager.
