How to Contact

HPRB correspondence should be addressed to the Chairman and directed to the Historic Preservation Office staff. Correspondence or materials intended for distribution to individual HPRB members should also be sent to the staff. HPO does not release direct contact information for HPRB members.

Contacts on Pending Cases

Applicants and members of the public should not contact HPRB members directly about cases pending before the Board. HPRB members are subject to District government rules on conflict of interest, and must recuse themselves from the proceedings on any case for which they have a real or apparent conflict.

To Submit Comments on a Pending Case

Written comments or informational materials on a case pending before HPRB may be mailed or emailed to HPO for distribution to HPRB members. HPRB prefers to receive advance copies of written comments and other information to be presented at its monthly meeting, especially if the material is detailed. Materials intended for distribution to HPRB before the meeting must be received by HPO by noon on the Thursday before the meeting. One original copy of brief comments is acceptable, but 10 copies of extended materials should be submitted.
