HPRB meetings follow a timed agenda for the convenience of applicants and the public. The agenda and written staff reports for each case are released to the public before each meeting.
Agenda
The final Agenda for each HPRB meeting is released at the end of the day on the Friday before the meeting. The Agenda shows the order of cases to be heard and the estimated time allotted for each case.
For some cases, HPRB acts on the basis of the application materials and a written staff report, without a public presentation. These cases are listed on the Consent Calendar (and occasionally a Denial Calendar), released at the same time as the meeting Agenda.
Staff Reports
The written staff report and recommendation serves as the basis for HPRB discussion of each case on the agenda. HPRB usually formulates its action as an approval or modification of the staff report, or a different conclusion based on the issues presented in the report. HPRB Actions
HPRB releases a written record of its actions after each meeting. HPO maintains an archive of meeting actions dating to December 2005. Please contact HPO at historic.preservation@dc.gov or (202) 442-8835 for archived reports and decisions from meetings prior to October 28, 2010.
