Reports

Information about the people of an area in terms of growth, movements, structures, living arrangements, spatial distribution, income, poverty, educational attainment, and general socio-economic well-being is vital for policy formulation, planning and implementation, and for monitoring and evaluation. For this reason, collection and analysis of data on population-related issues play a fundamental role in policymaking.

This section features reports on a wide variety of information pertaining to the demographic, social, housing and economic characteristics of the general population, and the District of Columbia population in particular. The currency of the data is a function of availability and access.
